FAQ

How quoting, review, and fulfillment work

This page answers the practical questions customers usually have before submitting a manufacturing request through Edyn Labs.

Process

What the current public flow looks like

Edyn Labs is intentionally running a quote-first workflow so more jobs can be reviewed properly before they become production commitments.

1. Upload a file or visual reference and start a quote request.
2. Set the material, finish, quantity, color, and project notes.
3. Review the estimate and submit the request for manufacturability review.
4. Check your dashboard for status updates, revision requests, and approved next steps.
Questions

Common questions from customers

Short answers now, with room to expand this into a fuller help center later.

What kinds of files can I submit?

Edyn Labs currently accepts STL, STEP, STP, OBJ, ZIP, and reference images. If your job is not fully print-ready yet, reference images and notes still help start the review.

Is the public POD flow instant checkout?

Not yet. The current public flow is quote-first so jobs can be reviewed for manufacturability, materials, finishing, and realistic lead times before production begins.

What happens after I submit a quote request?

Your request is saved to your account, reviewed by Edyn Labs, and moved through quote states such as submitted, in review, needs changes, or approved. Once approved, it can move into production handling.

How long does turnaround usually take?

Standard jobs currently target roughly 2–3 days after approval, but larger runs, unusual geometry, or more custom finishing may require additional review time.

Can I revise a quote after feedback?

Yes. If a request needs changes, Edyn Labs can return notes and you can update the same quote instead of starting over from scratch.

How do I track an order?

Use the Track Order page with the email used at checkout and your order ID to see fulfillment and status updates.
